Android Lenovo Tablets

Android Tablets are the least expensive tablets in the Lenovo family. They offer a wide range of functionality at an affordable price (ranging from $60 - $280). These tablets are best used for general web browsing, video streaming, music streaming, and app-based games. However, the higher-end, Tab P11 and Yoga Tab, tablets are suitable to perform business and/or schoolwork functions.

By offering state of the art LED screens and Dolby Atmos Speakers in many of their newer models, Lenovo is making a name for itself in the tech world.

MSPs can lower your costs. In many cases, nationally recognized MSPs can sell devices cheaper than the manufacturer (due to contractual obligations). Read more about why you NEED an MSP.

Overview

The Tab P11 Plus is a fantastic tablet for entertainment and those with a creative mind. It has a 11" display making it the second largest tablet on this list.

The MediaTek® Quad-Core processor is a fantastic light-weight processor perfect for watching movies, streaming music or using simple android applications. The limited amount of memory limits this device to mainly entertainment functions and the tablet will slow with more complex applications. The 2K resolution and LCD screen, however, allows for this device to be perfect for streaming.

At a starting MSRP of $279.99, the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is the most expensive tablet in the Lenovo lineup due to its many state of the art features and web compatibilities.

Overview

The Tab M8 is an upgrade from the M7 with a faster processor, larger memory, more hard drive space and a higher resolution display. The M8 also comes with the addition of a rear camera.

The faster processor and larger memory allow the M8 to take on tasks that the M7 may struggle with. While not a great tablet for gaming, the M8 can handle most applications in the Microsoft suite and can act as an acceptable platform for “light-weight” work tasks.

Like the M7, the M8 has a relatively small screen for easy portability. The higher resolution makes the M8 even better for video streaming and web browsing.

With an MSRP ranging from $99.99 for the HD to $129.99 for the FHD (faster processor + more memory), the Lenovo Tab M8 is a very affordable tablet offering mid-range performance.

Lenovo Tab M10

Tab M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen) | Family Tablet | Lenovo US

Overview

The Lenovo Tab M10 stands as a substantial upgrade over the M8. The 10-inch screen seems especially large due to the HD, 1920 x 1200, resolution.

With the larger screen also comes a much faster “Octa (8) Core” processor. This processor is comparable to many laptops on the market today making the M10 a suitable work machine (when an optional keyboard is added).

The larger memory allows this tablet to run more complex applications adding to its ability to substitute as a work machine.

Along with the upgrades also comes a higher price. The MSRP on the M10 starts at $199.99. This price is still a great value but is a more expensive option when comparing low-end tablets.

At an MSRP of $249.99 the Yoga is the most capable tablet in Lenovo’s Android-based family. With the addition of a keyboard, the Yoga can be a great alternative to an inexpensive Smartbook.

Windows Lenovo Tablets

Windows tablets are extremely powerful and portable machines. While these tablets can easily handle entertainment functions, their main function is to act as a portable business machine. Lenovo Tablet 10 (3rd Gen)

Lenovo Tablet 10 | 10.1-inch business 2-in-1 | Lenovo US

Overview

The Lenovo Tablet 10 for all intents and purposes is a laptop. The Windows operating system acts the same as it does on a PC and the interface is nearly the same. Instead of a mouse, you can either touch the screen or use the active pen.

From a tablet perspective, this machine is very powerful. The Intel® Celeron® N4100 Processor is superior to the processor found on the M Series and Yoga Android tablets. This lightweight, portable tablet is perfect for on the go, with immersive Dolby Atmos speakers and LED Screen reading mode, which allow for

The Tablet 10 also offers a 10.1-inch display with 2000 x 1200 resolution (the same as M10 & Yoga).

The main differentiator of this tablet from other Lenovo Tablets is the interface. As mentioned before, the Tablet 10 is much more similar to a PC than a traditional tablet. If the only intent behind purchasing this tablet is entertainment, we would recommend the less expensive Android or Chrome tablet. This tablet also has an integrated mobile broadband receiver allowing it to connect to LTE networks (with plan) for maximum connectivity.

The Tablet 10 has an MSRP starting at $229.99 and is comparable to many PCs in that range. The advantage over similar priced PCs is the Tablet 10’s easy portability.

The Chromebook Duet also comes with a 12-month, 100gb Google One membership. This makes this machine especially helpful if you typically work within Google Drive.

Final Thoughts

In recent years Lenovo has made leaps and bounds in their Tablet department. The wide range of tablets offered really do offer something for everyone.

Pricing on the tablets vary heavily based on processing power and operating system. It is very important you know exactly what you will be using your tablet for before you purchase. Purchasing an over-powered tablet could cost you hundreds of dollars extra on features you will never use. Similarly, purchasing an under-powered machine will likely cost you frustration, headaches and ultimately a new machine.

If you are strictly purchasing a tablet for entertainment purposes, we strongly suggest the “M” series. However, if you plan to work (or do schoolwork) on your tablet, we recommend looking into the Tablet 10 or Chrome Duet. Your decision then will be based on which product suite you will be using for your work (Microsoft Office = Windows OS, Google Suite = Chrome OS).

No matter what capabilities you are in need of, Lenovo has you covered with their various tablet models that they continue to update yearly which guarantees you the best service possible.
