Fran-Mauney-200x300.pngWe are excited about the speakers we're lining up for July's EdTech IT Summit - especially opening keynote Fran Mauney, whose passion for education earned her three Teacher of the Year honors as well as a Distnguished Teacher award in her home state of South Carolina.

Fran has also served as a Technology Integration Specialist, Instructional Technology Facilitator, a curriculum writer for the South Carolina Department of Education, and piloted a 1:1 Initiative for Title 1 Schools.

In other words: We cannot imagine a better person to kick off a presentation on technology in the 21st Century Classroom.

Fran's presentation will cover the latest technology trends in Education, such as Personalized Learning, Digital Curriculum, Professional Development, 1:1, and STEM and Security. She will also examine ESSA funding and the California State Plan for ESSA.

"We have the opportunity to prioritize technology in ways that can truly transform teaching and learning," Fran says. "By focusing on professional development, personalized learning, content creation, and digital curriculum, state and district leaders are casting vision on how technology is used in their schools."
