My favorite role as Marketing Manager at Datalink Networks is planning our "lunch and learn" events. That's because -- as much as I enjoy working with technology -- I sometimes need to step away from my screens once in a while and actually talk to people.
So I'm stoked about this month's Skype for Business UC Revolution event, which is an opportunity to meet with our clients, partners, and co-workers over a really nice meal -- at two of the Southland's premier restaurants:
The Palm (steps away from LA Live), where we'll be hosting lunch for Los Angeles area attendees May 26th, and
Morton's Steakhouse in Santa Ana, the site of our Orange County luncheon on May 28.
And I just know I'm going to learn something new from our featured speakers:
Microsoft's Christian Burke, fresh off his appearance at Microsoft Ignite. Christian knows practically everything about all the exciting new features of Skype for Business, and he will share some strategies for deploying it, whether you are hosting voice on-prem or through Office 365 in the cloud.
Karan Mehta of Audiocodes, who will tell you how to get Skype for Business running smoothly with your existing infrastructure.
The Vendor Pavilion
We're setting up our Vendor Pavilion again, so guests will have the chance to see the latest products and talk with partners like HP Networking, Lenovo, Plantronics, Logitech and Edgewave. Time Warner Cable Business Class and Charter Communications will also be there to talk to you about bandwidth.
And of course, we will have door prizes and giveaways, including Plantronics' awesome UC Voyager headset optimized for Skype for Business, a Go Pro camcorder from our partners at Edgewave, and a Lenovo tablet.
